He draws it to scale

Beds, boulders, curb lines and the creek on graph paper. You flip through albums of past jobs and point at what you like.

You change what you want

Move a boulder, widen a path. He redraws it on the spot before any rock arrives.

He builds it himself

On site at seven, gone when the day’s work is done. Timers and drip get set up and explained before he leaves.
